In 2005, the lease on our restaurant in Delaware was coming to an end. This left us with a choice: renew our lease, or search for business elsewhere. What drew us to Arkansas in particular was, believe it or not, the Home & Garden Television channel. On one segment, they showed what $1,000,000 could get you in various states.
The differences we saw between New York and Little Rock were astonishing, and we jumped at the opportunity to check out the area. While we were visiting the Capitol Building in downtown Little Rock, we noticed a coffeeshop that was on the brink of being closed down. The location was incredible! Nearby businesses could easily stop by for lunch and we wouldn’t need to go very far to cater.
After moving over 1,000 miles, we gave the old coffeeshop a fresh coat of paint, and we haven’t stopped since!

If there is one thing I’ve learned, you can sell anything if you put cheese on it. Cheese is good, but cheddar is better.
